Breitling
Founded in 1884 by Leon Breitling in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Breitling began by producing chronographs for scientific and industrial use, which were rare at the time. In 1914, Leon’s son Gaston Breitling took over the company and introduced the first mass-produced chronograph wristwatch of its time. In 1932, the company was taken over by Gaston’s son Willy, under whose leadership Breitling strengthened its position as a manufacturer of aviation instruments, which is still reflected in the aviation-inspired watch designs of the Breitling collections. The most popular Breitling models are the Superocean, Navitimer and Transocean.
